Description
19 Inch Chess Set New York Combo features a premium quality walnut chess board with legs and hand-made wooden details. It is produced with mother of pearl and wooden mosaic art. Furthermore, no staining or any other colour alterations have been used. The only chemical is the transparent layer of varnish added in the end to protect all the intricate woodwork and give the board that distinctive mirror-like surface. The chessmen are hand-carved from sheesham wood in a compact size, but still premium in quality. The 3.25 inch (8.3 cm) king as well as the rest of the pieces is weighted and added a layer of felt at the base for protection.
The finish offers a level of opulence and, practically, affords protection and strength to the board surface. The chessmen reflect beautifully when set up and they glide effortlessly.
