Beautiful chess set. Pieces are nicely weighted without being too heavy. The unique design of the king and queen is awesome, and the board is of great quality and nicely done with good detail for the price. The thing I wish is that they would have an extra queen for each side, or at least make an extra queen available to order separately.

I am an avid chess player and I wanted to get a quality set for myself and decided on this one. Besides priding themselves in using wood from plantations and not using child labor, it is a quality set which has details unique to handmade sets. The woodburning on the board is not perfect, but I am completely fine with it as it just adds character to the board. The chess pieces have great weight to them and are very beautiful.

This chess set is a good value overall. It is big enough for a comfortable layout, and the board and pieces looked very nicely detailed. It is a fine looking chess set overall. It is larger than I thought, which is great. This set is much better than most at this price point I must say.

This really is a beautiful chess set. The pieces are nicely carved, and the board is wonderful. My only complaint is that I wish the pieces were heavier, which I suppose I could fix by glueing some weights underneath the felt pads on the bottom of the pieces. They are a nice size, larger than standard, which makes it a great centerpiece on a coffee table. Spend the extra few dollars and get this chess board instead of a cheap plastic one.

Gorgeous and functional. This is a fantastic set. The weight of the pieces is perfect, and they slide nicely across the board. It also says flat which is important.

The only negative of this set in my mind is the lack of weight to the pieces. They are a little on the light side.
That being said, this is a very good chess set. It has a great handmade feel to it, and the fact that it was manufactured in Poland, and not China, was a plus as well. As far as storage is concerned, the pieces fit neatly into their designated spaces, instead of just rattling around on the inside of the folding board. The board also has a good size to it, and I like the fact that it has the alpa-numeric descriptions along the outside.
